I’m a clinical social worker and therapist and provide individual therapy and couples therapy to adolescents and adults. I hold an LMSW and am licensed in the state of New York.

I work with clients with a wide range of presenting issues including folks struggling with depression and anxiety and folks with trauma histories.  I have particular experience working with queer and trans folks as well as folks who identify as polyamorous and/or ethically non-monogamous. Much of my training includes working with people with histories of abusive relationships and/or who are currently in abusive relationship dynamics.

I am trained from a psychodynamic and relational lens. This means that we will piece together the patterns, defenses, and challenges that have existed throughout your life and treat them with curiosity and gentleness.

I became a therapist because of the way that I feel about connecting with others. My work is very relational both in the therapeutic relationship and in the way I contextualize the client I’m working with. The intersections of our identities are incredibly important to our work together, and I’m committed to sifting through the messiness and connection. It’s important to me that you feel seen and heard in the context of our therapeutic relationship.

When I entered the field of social work, I worked primarily with survivors of intimate partner violence in crisis. As a queer person with intersecting identities, I realized that LGBTQ+ people were not widely included in the narrative around domestic and intimate partner violence. Gender, sexuality, and anti-oppressive systems are a huge part of the work that I do because of these experiences.

I believe that a large part of therapy is discussing topics that have felt shameful to discuss in the past. Having a space to discuss these topics can be incredibly liberating.

Our relationship is important to your healing, and it’s important to me that you feel seen, heard, and connected in therapy.

If you’re interested in working together, email me today, and we can find a time to meet and see if working together would be a good fit.
