Kimmy Wu, MHC, MA

SHE/HER

I’m a passionate Taiwanese-American psychotherapist and pleasure activist who provides trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and sex/kink-affirming therapy services. I approach therapy with an intersectional and psychodynamic framework to help clients from all walks of life navigate life transitions and face challenges related to self-worth, perfectionism, identity, shame, sexuality, career, relationships, and overall well-being.

I believe that the foundation for effective therapy is the co-creation between the therapist and client of a brave space that embodies curiosity, safety, compassion, empathy, accountability, and, most importantly, hope.

While I acknowledge that therapy and transformation aren't going to be comfortable at all times, I meet my clients' discomfort with a nuanced balance of mindfulness and comradery.

I received my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. As a sex therapist with specialized training from the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy, I work with clients in addressing sexual concerns, intimacy issues, and relational dynamics with sensitivity and an understanding of diverse expressions of sexuality and relationships.

If you seek a therapeutic partner to foster deeper explorations of your life experiences, whether related to sexuality, relationships, or personal growth, reach out to Kimmy today! You can also learn more about Kimmy at www.kimmywu.com.
