About Me:
I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling. I learned in my past media career the power of people telling their stories to spark change, ignite emotions, and impact relationships. I draw on these skills to help clients explore their life stories in a safe, judgment-free, affirming space. As a cisgender gay man, I am dedicated to supporting those who feel unseen, unheard, or othered. I am inspired to help clients live with pride, joy, and a sense of meaning. From my own experience, I know that healing is possible and that every person’s story, like life itself, can change and grow. I am sex/kink positive, trauma-informed, and culturally humble. I use he/him pronouns.

Who I Work With & My Approach:
I offer individual and couples therapy for adults of all identities, with a focus on LGBTQIA+, kink, poly/CNM, and creative communities. I specialize in gender and sexual identity, trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, career/life transitions, and reconciliation with religious upbringing and identity. I support clients navigating conflicts between personal desires and family, religious, and societal expectations. My counseling approach is person-centered, meaning I see you with sincere curiosity and respect. I journey alongside you, offering encouragement and holding space for the hard emotions, like shame and sorrow, until seeds of new meaning, hope, and change take root. I provide an evidence-based, integrated counseling approach, which means I utilize proven methods from various counseling theories to create a customized plan with you that best suits your needs. We become partners in your counseling journey, where I respect your autonomy, decisions, and story with unwavering positive regard.

I Believe in Hope:
You are not broken, you are becoming. As your therapist, I offer the empathy of Mr. Rogers, the frankness of Dr. Ruth, the empowerment of Brené Brown, and the humor of Dan Savage, where we can discuss anything- from monogamy to poly, vanilla to kink, and the tame to taboo, all in a shame-free space. As Mr. Rogers says, “I like you just the way you are.” Come as you are, and let’s begin your journey toward authenticity and fulfillment.

Tell me your story? I’d love to hear it.
