SHE/HER
Valerie is a psychotherapist dedicated to fostering intimacy, connection, and support in relationships through strengthening avenues of interpersonal communication. She also holds space for those seeking deeper self-understanding and personal growth. Valerie works within dividuals, couples, and polycules, with a particular focus on supporting justice-impacted individuals. She is kink-affirming, LGBTQ+ inclusive, and draws from her own lived experience as queer-identifying to cultivate empathic, affirming therapeutic relationships.
Valerie’s clinical background spans correctional and community mental health settings, where she has supported clients navigating severe mental illness, trauma, and complex life transitions.
She holds an Advanced Certificate in Victimology and is passionate about creating empowering spaces for survivors, women, and women-identifying individuals. Her work often centers on reconnection with the feminine self and drawing strength through self-empowerment.
Her integrative approach balances structure with radical acceptance, weaving together elements of DBT, CBT, attachment theory, feminist theory, and harm reduction. Valerie also incorporates holistic modalities such as ecotherapy, using the grounding presence of nature tohelp clients reconnect with their bodies and the natural cycles of transformation.
