Zoe Boggs, MHC-I

SHE/HER

As a queer and ethically non-monogamous counselor, I am committed to being LGBTQ+-affirming, multiculturally-competent, trauma-informed, and kink and sex-work-positive. I see therapy not as a way to fix or treat something “wrong” with you but as a tool to help you work through hardships towards the life you want and cope with the many difficulties thrown at us by systemic oppression in our society. I am also dedicated to assisting couples and individuals in exploring their own confidence around sexuality, relationships, pleasure, and sexual dysfunction.

I’m currently a therapist-in-training in my first year of the Master’s in Mental Health Counseling program at The City College of New York. I am studying to provide individual, couples, and sex therapy, and I am especially passionate about working with queer clients and those who have experienced sexual trauma.

You are the expert in your own experience, identity, and goals. I’m here to offer support and strategies that can help you clarify your desires and navigate your own path.

I practice client-centered therapy, aiming to embark on a journey of personal growth and healing together. I am committed to building a strong therapeutic relationship with you and want all my clients to feel comfortable letting me know if something isn’t working. My approach is integrative, including elements of person-centered, intersectional feminist, and emotionally-focused therapy.

Whether you are just starting your therapeutic journey, trying out a new counselor, or coming back to therapy, this process can be vulnerable and scary. Couples counseling and sex therapy can be especially intimidating. I recognize this and am here to build a safe, warm, and understanding space with you that fits your individual personality and needs.

If you’re interested in working together, email me today, and we can find a time to meet and see if working together would be a good fit.
